What I don't understand is that would you notice that things were heating up a bit down there? I've had my TiPB on my lap plenty of times, but its never caused me any problems.

I am glad they updated that! You would have thought that it would have got warm first! However, P4's (not sure if it was a P4 in the laptop) get hot enough to fry eggs!
