Deleting a copy of the fonts folder...

Having trouble deleting a copy of the fonts folder I made trying to sort out pages not working after having upgraded to snowleopard... The message I get is that the item is in use but the folder I'm trying to delete is just a direct copy, the original is unaltered. Any ideas?!
