Return iPhone 5 at Apple Store.. How long to get refund?

Hello all! So after a few days of HORRIBLE service on my iPhone with AT&T and speaking to dozens of AT&T reps, they issued me a credit of $248 to my account. Now I'm checking my options here and I'm extremely curious..

I paid $506 (tax included) for an early upgrade iPhone 16GB. If I wanted to return it, how long would it take to receive the refund?

Also, once the refund is received, and I wish to go the At&t store and use my credit to get the iPhone 5 64GB, would that be possible with the early upgrade restored and using my credit?

Do you know if its possible to use a issued credit to get the phone through At&t?

You cant use that go purchase stuff.
Close though, your wont have to spend that money on your monthly bill now and can use it elsewhere.
