Forgive me if this has since been posted since this morning when I read through everything.

Found on Slickdeals.net a decent amazon deal.

Got a TPU case for $7.95 shipped and looks like it should be delivered by or before my preorder.

This looks exactly like a TPU case I got for my iPad 2 when it first came out that gave better grip and protection to the back of it long enough for better case options to come out at more reasonable cost.

It's my favorite also. But, the mini Smart Cover is different at the hinge so there would have to be a redesign. I've sent Incipio an inquiry email. I'll post when/if I hear back.

I emailed them on Wednesday. The response I got was they "might" have a mini version of the smart cover. They are waiting to have a smart cover in hand to make sure it's possible.

It should be here before my iPad so that I will have protection from day one. Then I can wait and see what comes out for the mini. I'm thinking that I may want a folio style case as long as it does not add too much bulk or weight. The "Epicarp" case from iLuv looks like something along the lines of what I am thinking of, but will need to either see it in person or more pics to be sure.

The price of the Khomo case is low enough that it's worth the risk to try it out.

I had $5 and some change in Discover cash back/bonus points (Amazon now lets you use that directly on your purchases which is awesome, I use it all the time), so I bought this case for $2.12 shipped!

I love just simple, clean, slim cases like the black BoxWave TPU case I just ordered. My all time favorite iPhone case to date is the cheap Diztronic iPhone 5 TPU case from Amazon, which I just recently discovered thanks to a thread on this forum.

I don't understand how people love all these gaudy cases on their iPhones and iPads. Most of the ones I find online and mentioned here are super tacky, but to each their own. Anyway, so thanks for the heads up. Can't wait to get it.

I would love to get Dodocase (http://www.dodocase.com/collections/ipad-mini-cases) but they will only be available 3-4 weeks from now on. And since the mini is probably prone to scuffing like the iPhone 5, is it rational to wait them out or just get something else like Belkin?

Awesome. Glad to hear it helped out someone else! I got notification that the one I ordered shipped yesterday, so it looks to be on target to arrive before I get my iPad Mini, which is my desire. I want to protect it with something cheap like this until more options come out for it and then decide if I want anything else or not.

I have this type case ordered - I will mount a polycarb back to the case and then clip the ipad out and in...no adhesive for me...stay tuned....

Ahhhh so does it leave the sticky on after you take ipad off? What if you want to use it in another case for awhile?
