Had a quick look on here for any info but i may have missed it. Does anyone know what time Uk Pre orders are likely to start on Friday??
 
Sorry, no clue .. also though I'm not sure if the pre-order is for the cellular versions as well as the wi-fi? .. I'm going to assume it is?!
For the iPhone 5 pre-order started at 8am (UK time)

thanks Loopy65, it will be for wifi and cellular i think but in the keynote it said wifi going out first on 2nd with cellular options 1-2 weeks later but it US first and then other countries
 
Well as you know, it's the 26th. As for the precise time, won't it be the time Apple HQ opens for business? I'm guessing that's about 4pm for us in the UK.

As Loopy65 said, it was 8am for the iPhone 5 so that's where I'm putting my money.
 
8am would be ideal for me, as i will be at work so can do it without having to explain what i'm doing to my wife 😉
 
yes hearing it will be 8am here as that 12am PST but im sure the ipad 1 when first released was a midnight / 1 am pre order
 
iPad first gen was midnight.

iPad 3rd gen was immediately after the keynote.

iPhone 5 was 8am.

Take your pick. I reckon 8am.
 
It's now 8:18am in Australia, their Apple store is still on preorder 😕

And 10:18 New Zealand, also still on preorder.

Er.... I recall the first ipad being midnight or there abouts. It was some weird early hour time for the 3rd gen ipad - I got my order through at quarter to one in the morning. iPhone 4s, I seem to recall that was around eight am yeah .... so - not *quite* eight am for in the last two years.
 
I plan to get to work early tomorrow and keep refreshing the iPhone app.

So if it goes well, Jim will turn up with the friday breakfast club sandwich (Bacon and Sausage on crusty bread) around 08:15 and hopefully I will have ordered the mini by then!

I do remember the 4S being some time after 08:00.
 
After some thought, it must be 8am UK, all preorders will start at midnight US PST around the world, irrespective of local time.

Think I'm aiming to be ready for 8am UK time.

I don't understand why Apple can't stagger preorders. Surely this would help with the server load too?
 
probs will be 8am but going to see if anything happens at 12pm, if not off to bed😀

No, preorder for delivery, or stand in a queue next Friday morning if you want to pick one up.
