No Java (preferences) on my rMBP
Hey everyone!
First of all, thanks for reading my topic (and hopefully helping me)! So here's my problem: I don't have java preferences on my Mac? It's not in my utilities folder, and can't find it with spotlight? Help me? Thanks

Java is not installed by default now, but if you did previously have it installed a recent Apple update removed the Java Pref app your are talking about and turned Java updates over to Oracle.

I found this out too, right after I installed ML and was going to a webcam site that needed Java. I had to re-download it.

Open Terminal in your utilities folder. Just type "java" at the prompt and press enter. It'll prompt to auto download and install.
