Hello everyone,
I've been using for years now a 40GB Apple TV (old gray version) with most of my files on the internal HD. Now that I've got more and more movies, iTunes on my computer is almost always on and I'm relying on my network and AirTunes/AirPlay more that I'd like. I recently bought a 3rd gen 1080p Apple TV so streaming is my only option on this one.
So now I'm looking for a low-power, low-noise alternative to my main computer serving media files. I've read about NAS and their iTunes Server feature, and feedback from forum users hasn't been great, so I guess it's not the way to go.
Is there any alternative to a full-blown PC/Mac with iTunes open all the time for streaming media files to Apple TV? I don't mind if one solution works only on the 3rd gen model and not on the old one, I'm really open to all ideas!
Thanks!
