"Apple Inc. (AAPL) is in negotiations to start by early 2013 an advertising-supported Internet radio service, challenging radio leader Pandora Media Inc. (P), Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing people with knowledge of the talks.
A deal with major music labels is possible by mid-November, with a launch in the first quarter of next year, the people said.
Apple declined comment as did representatives of various record companies, Bloomberg reported."
