Splitting Movie-Files in iMovie
Hey there,
I recently digitalized my VHS casettes using Elgato. Now I have around 10 files that each last around 4 hours. Obviously within these 4 hours there are several different places/times where a record has been made. I want to split each setting into an individual file. Now I already know I can put the desired part of the Movie into the project and export as a new movie. But this takes absolutely forever with my amount of movies. So is there any other, better, faster way to do this?? Hope I could express myself, English is not my native tongue Sorry! Thanks for your help. Florian |

With iMovie, you will have to import and then export if you want to end with individual video files.
Try using Quicktime. Open your files in Quicktime and then you can use the Trim function to make separate files for each recording.
