Software Update Server unix command
Hi guys,
I'm using one of our mac mini's as our software update server. Using the app "Software Update Enabler" i can point all our client machines to the mac mini. However, rather than going around every machine, how can i apply this to all the machines via the Unix command in Apple Remote Desktop? I used to do this with 10.5. and 10.6. This command works in Terminal but not via Unix within ARD. sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate CatalogURL http://servername:8088/index.sucatalog Has anyone got it working? Thanks

RE: spaces...
Hi,
I don't know for sure, but I suspect the problem may be related to how ARD handles the "space" character between the Update and the Catalog. Have you tried quoting the command? Switon |
