Apple remote and default sound after wake up from sleep

If my Mac Mini wakes up, there are two things which are not restored well.

1. My Mac Mini is connected to TV through HDMI. Default sound is HDMI. Every time the Mac Mini wakes up, default is changed to Mac Mini built-in sound. So I have to change it back every time. This is quite annoying. Any solution?

2. I am using XBMC on my Mac Mini with Apple Remote (IR remocon). On wake-up, Apple Remote suddenly controls iTunes as well as XBMC. So the when I press on down key, it moves XBMC menu down and also makes the volume down. I have to disable and enable the remote in environment setup to make it only control XBMC. Any way to fix this?

for #2 issue, I installed sound buddy. and it fixed it.
