Takes longer because they have to solder the NAND chips by hand in Foxconn. Mines says the same amount of time. Cheaper than the SMT Reflow process.

Sucks to be the last to get them.

Also waiting for mine, ordered right after the announcement, it currently says delivers between Nov 6th - 9th.

Just got a text to say it's shipped! but the tracking site is down so I don't know exactly when it will be here

They usually underpromise and overdeliver when it comes to shipments so you almost always get it sooner than promised and in the worst case scenario (or pre-orders) you get it when they promised.

Maybe they should put iTunes development under the same management as order fulfillment.
