I have had my MPBpro for a month. I have some mp3s that will only partially play, a few seconds or skip or stutter but they play fine on other devices. my googlefu is not working well on this. can someone give me a hint on where to look. oh yeah they wont play in vlc either.

possibly because my harddrive was failing? I just took it to the apple store after it failed to boot, they said the drive was bad.
