Using PCTV an Eye TV lite for MAC

Can anyone help me with recording clips from Sky+? I know that I can't record them in HD. I have installed EYE TV on my MAC and attached the PCTV UBS attachement to my Sky Box using a Standard def Arial lead, but all it's done is install all the live TV channels when actually all I want to do is load a clip on my Sky+ planner and record it to my MAC. Can anyone help please?

I'd be v v grateful. I'm a relatively competent MAC and computer user but I think I am a bit lost here...
