Need help with a Classic
My sister in all of her smartness decided to sync songs from about 15 different iTunes accounts of hers. That was 2-3 years ago. Now she has thousands of songs stuck on her iPod because she got a Mac. Threw out her broken PC, then threw out the iTunes backups I made for her.
Now all the sudden she needs this music and doesn't know her passwords. She figured out one which gave her ~300 songs. Is there any way I can bypass iTunes and copy each and every song off of it to a flash drive so she will shut up? I can do it on a Mac, Windows, Linux, anything to make her stop freaking out. Please help someone! Please!

There are a few third party programs that will sync your music from the device to your computers hard drive. Senuti, Sharepod to name a couple off the top my head... google will most likely find you a reliable one for your OS.
Hope this helps!

What I used to do is connect the iPod to a PC, browse to it, set folder options to view all files and go to the IPOD CONTROL folder. Inside there you can browse to the music files with folder names like 'F456' and the mp3's will be named such as 'F67395.mp3'.
Copy all that to your desktop, drag to iTunes when done and they will appear as normal. Make sure you set iTunes to copy media to the iTunes folder when adding to library to keep a copy of all the songs on the computer and also make sure you set iTunes to automatically arrange the media folder on the computer also. Thanks. Ian |
