Are they doing this for the iPad mini yet? The lady at the Apple Store told me they were, but I'm not able to select the option on the website like I could with the iPhone 5. Is there a different process for the iPad mini?

Probably at some point once they sell out all their first batch of stocks / shipments in the B&M stores they will start doing this for iPad Mini. So am guessing, it has not started yet?
 
Ah, perfect! I prefer to just wake up at the crack of dawn anyway. Any loser can sit by his computer at 10:00 PM. Early bird always gets the worm!
