I'm on AT&T and 5Gb isn't enough what to do?
I have the iPhone 5 and an unlimited data plan which means with AT&T you get throttled at 5gb.
It's not enough what are my options |

b) Sit and cry in a corner. EDIT: Or move to the great white north where 6GB of data a month costs $80... not including other cell services like texting.

Just bend over and take it???
I'm also on AT&T and I also have the grandfathered unlimited data plan, and so far 5 GBs is enough for me. When I do go over and get throttled, the speed is decent enough to browse the web and even stream audio. Watching videos is the only thing that you can't do properly on a throttled service. |

Switch to Sprint. Data isn't as fast but there aren't any caps.

Since when did unlimited data imply anything about how fast you had access?

You pay to have realtime stock quotes?

Yeah, all of that will just eat up your 5 GBs allotment in no time. Well, I recommend you try to get one of those Unlimited Verizon data plans on eBay. I've seen a couple of them, the seller will just transfer their plan to you, and you take over. Problem is, the eBay listing will cost you, and if you try to transfer your current number from AT&T, you'll pay an ETF too, so that'll stack up. But it's an option.

What does that have to do with speed?

iirc, the court awarded him money, but he did not get his data cap removed. So what's the point?
I think the amount of money that he was awarded was equal to his monthly fees for the remainder of his contract. |

Yea now I wish I kind of had Verizon or Sprint although 2 caveats
With Verizon you gotta pay full price no subsidies so basically you're paying a lot extra for Unlimited. Sprint has a great deal but because I travel around a lot I wish their map was stronger. |

I don't think a court case will help you now that I think about it. Assuming you have an iPhone 5, AT&T made these capped data changes sometime last year, or early this year. By signing up a new contract to get the new iPhone 5 (assuming you got the upgrade with a subsidy) you pretty much agreed to the new terms and services. So, you probably wouldn't win this case.
