[All iPads] Ver of Refurb iPad 3

Hi guys,

for those who have ordered and received your iPad 3 recently, does it comes with iOS 5.1.1 or iOS6?

Any issues with the refurbished sets?

"Refurbs" from the apple store are all but new. They have entirely new outer cases and batteries and the full warranty. They will have the latest iOS6 (but who would care anyway, as they will just update to the very latest sub-version the moment you switch them on).

If I remember correctly, the iPads come with the version of the OS that was out when they originally came out. I could be wrong.

They are all updatable anyway.

Just received the refurb ipad 3 this afternoon. And yes, it came with iOS 5.1,1.
Gonna jailbreak it later

My 32GB WFi model arrived yesterday and is great. It was 5.1.1, IIRC, but I went ahead and updated to 6.01.

Just tap check for update in settings and away you go in 5 minutes...

all iPad 2 and iPad 3 refurbs come with 5.1.1 (THANKFULLY)

the hell with iOS 6. i enjoy the jailbreak too much that allows me to turn my iPad into a true laptop replacement with the BTC Mouse app from Cydia
