Hi,

(I have moved this question from the OS forum)

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion from Tiger (will you believe that!) and with that came a very unwelcome update of iTunes. One of the features of the previous iTunes versions was the very handy function that allowed you to cycle through cover art embedded in the song files. This function was apparently removed with iTunes version 10.5.

Now, my question is: can I install iTunes version 10.4.1 and delete the current one (or keep it, for that matter)? From what I hear, the new version of iTunes is more core integrated than the older ones. For one thing, dragging iTunes to Trash is not allowed. I guess I could use Terminal to force delete it, but will that ruin vital functions in the OS itself?

If nothing else works: does anyone know of an alternative music directory program which lets you view multiple covert art?
