iPad iPad 4 music not playing/songs being skipped

There are a lot of songs on my new ipad (4th Gen) that simply when I tap them, they wont play and skip to another song. It seems to be most of my purchases songs (recently within a few months). It doesnt happen on my iphone or iPad 2, so whats the issue here? I have restored the iPad and resynced, and it still happens. The songs aren't greyed out either
