No sound coming out?!

Hey guys,

I have a slight issue with my laptop. I have no idea how or why my speakers stopped working.

I feel like it's some retarded thing I've done, but I honestly haven't done anything.

After a restart, I can hear that 3 second sound upon turning on the computer, but whenever I play a video or Skype, no sound comes out.

I obviously checked the Sound in System Preference, couldn't detect problem.

I have the late 2010 Macbook Air.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Oh, and for those that use Log Me In, I tried it and I was able to hear the sounds on the computer that I am connected through.
