I've got my Facebook's "Click To Post" button on Notification Center failed to work. This is despite Repairing Disk Permission and twice the clean install of Mountain Lion.

I've narrowed down to the problem of a crashing process com.apple.ShareKit.Helper.xpc, and below is the console log of the said crash:

Can anyone enlighten me of what could be the source of the problem...?

Thanks.

Also experiencing the problem

I am also experiencing the problem. I noticed it the first time about a week ago after I migrated to a larger SSD. I reinstalled ML and restored from TM backup. Any thoughts?

This sounds like the culprit, or maybe just coincidence...? You plonked in a third-party SSD...? :D

I left a feedback last week, and Apple was quick to give me a call and arranged me a senior tech specialist to grab some diagnostics, screenshots and recording from my end. Expecting a report from them by next week. Apparently this is the first time Apple encounter such issue...

Solved !

The supplemental update for 10.8.2 posted at http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1600 resolved my issue.

This is the only solution that worked for me!
I have a brand new Macbook Pro so i wasn't afraid to try anything to fix this. I even did a clean re-install couple of days back and i was still having problems with the NC buttons. Which is very sad to know that Apple did not include that supplemental update when you are installing ML from the internet. You would think when you are installing an OS like Mac OS X from the internet, you would have everything integrated up to day, but i guess thats something that they can work on in future.

Anyway, 10.8.2 Supplemental update fixes the problem. Have my Mac on for 2 days now and buttons keep posting anything i want on FB as well as Twitter.
