technically he's not wasting time since you chose to come in here and read his thread. His title was pretty descriptive about his intentions. I come here to see what the latest "query" from MyiPhone7 is and see the humorous replies that always follow. So I'm wasting my own time.

Yes I know upgrading for a marginally better iPhone 5 S is expensive.

And I know in the past I've said I would never upgrade, that the iPhone 3G was enough.

But I was wrong. Apple comes out with much better phones every year. I don't like my iPhone 4 anymore even as an iPod lol.

? I thought more megapixels meant better pictures. Hence iPhone 3G having only 2 mp, and now iPhone 5 having 8...

How does sensor size play into this?

Mega pixels help in the sense that your pictures will still look good when increased in size. It's all about the sensor. The more light the sensor can receive and the higher quality it is, the better your shots will be.

Why not wait wait til Eye of Gaia camera, the billion pixel telescope, gets shrunk down for human use in cell phones. Surely it can't be that far away.

There will not be an iPhone5 S. Thats because the next iPhone will have a 5 inch screen, longer battery (1 1/2 days), 10 megpix front camera and 8 rear and faster chip.
