Damaged my iPad 3rd gen...

So I finally dropped my 3rd gen. It still looks 100% fine, but apparently it landed hard on the volume rocker and now it is pushed in a bit and cannot raise or lower the volume, it's frozen in place.

Good news is that I have applecare and after I pay my deductible, I should walk off with a refurb... but I have a question.

Would it be possible to pay a bit more and get a new 4th gen? Is that even possible? Will the genius offer it?

Appreciate the help

Usually not. You could get the new one and sell it right off then get the 4.
