2012 Mac Mini as HTPC

So I've been waiting for the mini to come out to replace my old AMD/windows machine that currently hosts my iTunes collections. It can no longer keep up with the HD content.

Other then the HDMI issue noted in other threads has anyone else tried the new mini to run HD content?
