FCP X Demo

I had a question regarding the demo of FCP X. If I download it will it screw up my version of FCP 7 and old projects stored on my external drive? I thought I would make a duplicate of an old project and work off old project's media just get an idea of the software. But before I do I don't want it screw up my old FCP 7 projects (ones that aren't duplicated) and the app itself.

Thanks.

FCPX won't affect your FCP7 projects, the only thing I would recommend is to go to your applications folder and create a new folder and move FCP7 there.

Also you cant use both projects at the same time or transfer items from 7 to X unless you have the software.
