Those who don't understand the Books ad lack an analytical mind. Or just don't have an attention to detail?

Under 'iPad mini' they should put "every bit an iPad as iPad"

Really love the photos one. It has to be one of my favourite Apple adverts apart from the iPad 2 ones.

I like the new ads. Ads are one of the things that Apple really does better than anyone else. In contrast, all Samsung can do in their ads is bashing Apple and its "fanboys".

I prefer the Photo and Piano ads to the Books one: mainly because there was only one scene of actual reading text, but also because it wasn't very dynamic. Clever titles don't really grab attention on the first viewing, colour and movement and unique effects do.
I like the style though. Very classy and simplistic.

These iPad Mini ads are the best ads from Apple for a long long time

I have been using an iPad mini for the last week, I also have a retina iPad, the screen on the mini is great and very usable. IMHO all this bleating about it not being retina is crap, wait if you want, but I'm enjoying using mine NOW.

Yea people love it when they're being insulted in advertising campaigns. I found it insulting, a dozen other people I know who've seen them found them insulting.
Frankly I found them no better than Samsungs ads that mock iPhone fans.

how about an ad showing how much of a beast the iPad 4 is. enough with the iPad mini commercials showing hands frolicking around with cliche music. we get it, the mini is light, cool, and easy to use. that's been proven over and over again. Apple is already getting my money - i preordered an LTE 32GB for my girlfriend in white for xmas.
how about some emphasis on what the A6X is capable of with the iPad 4. show some multiplayer gaming, show some brute-force utility for the business users who are still on the fence of whether to get an iPad or continue using their 6lbs Thinkpad, show how well the A6X significantly cuts down the processing and graphics rendering times, show show show. i don't need to see 6 hipsters sitting around a vintage wooden table banging the bongo drums in Garageband - Apple has already established those customers. they need to target the consumers who still have a belief that Android tablets are for real stuff and iPads are toys. otherwise, Samsung's tablet market share will keep growing |

The Mac/PC ads weren't ridiculing the customers like the Samesung commercials do.

It seems like their goal is to simply point out there is now a smaller iPad, and it does exactly the same things as the big iPad. If you "love your iPad", to use Tim Cook's phrase, then you'll love the iPad mini too.
But, I think they're missing an opportunity here to highlight how the more "wieldable" size of the iPad mini totally changes how you use it. A lot of people, including myself, have been saying this. Their ads should instead feature the mini being handled by people. It should show it being held, being rotated, picked up, put down, tossed on a bed, shoved in a bag...etc.

Isn't smug superiority a bit off-putting as a brand strategy? And regardless of how the commercials were meant, a lot of people see the PC in the ads as a personification of PC users, not just Windows. Although I'm not sure I should be continuing this discussion with you as you've already resorted to petty name calling.

Never in my life did I think I would see an Apple advertisement that mentions Jack London's "The Valley of the Moon." One of my all-time favorite books!
