Voice Travel Mate can cross-translate 10 languages with fluent genuine human voice playback: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese.
With Voice Travel Mate, tourists and business travelers can now have a smooth and stress-free moment whenever they communicate with foreigners. Without the need for the Internet or Wi-Fi, users can avoid using expensive data roaming service for translation abroad.
A database of 40,000 travel-friendly phrases which has been carefully selected by traveling experts, are categorized across 16 major topics and over 100 sub-topics. Based on user-selected phrases, the built-in artificial intelligence engine will suggest relevant phrases in one's desired languages.
To make Voice Travel Mate a more personal translator, users can favorite their frequently used phrases and add them to their assigned folders. A handy record & playback function is also available for users to record and store voice clips for coping with unexpected situations. So if next time the user needs to tell the taxi driver the name of the hotel or the tourist attraction, just record & playback!
Voice Travel Mate for iPhone and iPad is now available in the App Store, customers can download the app for free to try the "Eating Out" category. And for a limited discount period only, the first full version language pair is priced at only $3.99. An additional language will cost $2.99.
An Android version is currently in development and expected to be available in a few months time along with more language pairs such as Arabic, Korean, Portuguese and Turkish.
