ssd upgrade problem

Hello all as I replace SuperDrive with ssd I accidentally broke the odd sensor i found a solution on the net to short circuit the sensor not to run at full speed is this possible? what about the cooling of GPU is going to still fuction properly?

The ODD fan does cool the video too - Personally, I would call apple and buy a replacement sensor. Alternatively, it shouldn't be very hard to find a good replacement online.
