Any hardware oddities in 2012 MBA 13"

When I got my 2011 MBA 13" there were 2 manuf. of the SSD and LCD and one performed better, is this still the case with the 2012? If so what should I look out for?

EDIT : Nothing in the search/stickies show any known manuf. differences like we had in 2011.

There were two LCD manufacturers, LG and Samsung. Many thought the LG looked worse, but that seemed to be fixed by a new color profile that came out with Mountain Lion. I don't see anybody complaining about it any longer.

There were two SSD manufacturers, Toshiba (Sandforce controller) and Samsung. Those with the Toshiba have reduced write speeds when writing incompressible data or using Filevault2. You can read about it here.

The difference between SSDs isn't nearly as bad as it was last time though. The Toshibas actually out performed the Samsungs in some tests.

In practice, you won't notice the difference.

Of course not, but I will still check ... I am coming from a samsung/samsung MBA 2011, so we'll see!
