Its the software and drivers that give Mac compatibility, not the drive itself. Toast will, I think, see most drives, but the bundled version might need to be upgraded to get all of the features that you need. Your best bet, I think, is to buy a drive that includes Mac support, and have the manufacturer (not a salesman) insure that it will meet your needs.
