What are these white marks on my iPhone 5 SIM tray?

On my iPhone 5 nano-SIM tray, on the inner edge (stand the SIM tray on its edge, with the longer outside edge away from you), there are these white bands? Are these some kinds of serial markings? Unlike the older iPhones, the trays no longer have the IMEI number etched on them.

What are these markings? Does your iPhone 5 nano-SIM tray have these markings too?

Mine has them too*, and they just look like the same problem that some people have with the antenna band coating wearing off.

The SIM tray appears to be "white" underneath the coating, so it looks white rather than silver.

*They don't look exactly the same, so that pretty much rules out this being intentional.

Daveoc64, Can you upload a pic of your tray about these spots?

No, it is just a blue towel, because the camera keeps focusing on the flesh tone of my fingers and can't focus on the tray.

Who cares what they are? It's on the SIM tray. Out of sight, out of mind. It doesn't affect the performance of the phone in any way shape or form and it's not visible during operation of the phone either. Stop worrying, and enjoy the phone.

What model and capacity is yours? I am beginning to think that the marks are different for different models. Mine is 64GB.

Since mine (64GB model) has a dash and three dots and yours (32GB model) has a dash and 2 dots, any theory on what these markings mean? I don't think these are moisture dots. Something else?

theyre microchips that read your mind and send the farmed data to the chinese intelligence who had managed to put those dots there by infiltrating the chinese factories and will use those farmed data as ransom against america as the china/america trade deficit grows larger and larger china will ask president obama to not stop iphones being made in the china mainland then google will come to the resuce and say go withus instead but then they will explode and boom dead then they will go and order pizza takeaway and use the aluminium foil around the garlic bread around their heads and keep using their iphones but the dots wont work now because of the garlic bread aluminium foil
