Anyone buy a Sprint Ipad 4?

Would like to know your take on the sprint version!(there is no LTE here They seem to be the only store in my area that has ONE IN STOCK! My preference is At&t but they do not have none... maybe tomorow maybe not...Or Apple store has a nice stock of them but 75Mi away... Is it worth the drive? intake please...

Sorry, I bought the Verizon LTE, and it works great.

Good luck!

Ohhhh nooo do not get sprint either tablet or phone unless LTE has launched. You will only get headaches with the iPad on sprint. Here in the DC area I got 0.03 Mbps. I recently switched to verizon and man LTE is amazing!! 30 Mbps!!

Make sure you do buy online pick up in store if you do drive 75 miles to the apple store that way you won't be possibly wasting your time.

I just picked up a sprint iPad mini. The data service is pretty bad in non LTE areas but I'm an existing customer and 1gig of data for $15/mo (not including a work partner discount) was just cheap enough for me to do it. $30/mo is way too much for the other carriers, and I'm hoping long term sticking with sprint will pay off when they do finally build out their network. Plus the slow network will force me to use wifi whenever possible and keep my usage from going over, haha

But yeah if you're not already a customer and not in a LTE zone I would honestly avoid them.

$15 ain't bad...I thought it was more. Anyway, that's pretty good. I was thinking how the hell does Sprint plan to sell any data plans without their pricing being lower than AT&T or VZW??

Let us know what kind of speeds that thing is pulling down, if u can. I thought I heard that Sprint made real improvements to their 3G network. Honestly, I want Sprint to do good. I have had intentions of switching to them, since they had the iPhone, but their data speeds in the past has always kept me away. Anyway, if you could post a couple screen shots of the "speedtest app" or something, I know I'd appreciate it.

I just took a few speed tests inside my house, 3g, all of them are giving me almost 1meg/second (.9) and about .5/second upload.

I don't have much to compare it to, being a sprint customer forever, but that'll do the trick for me for now. It's good enough to check email, maybe download a PDF or kindle book now and then. And GPS doesn't use much data so I have a giant GPS for the car now too.

Also, to be clear, that $15/1g plan is only available as an add-on to an existing phone plan. I think it's $35/3 gigs normally and then gets cheaper than the others as you increase tiers.

Please do not follow the coverage map that Sprint has on its website. It shows future coverage. Even in Houston, one of the first Sprint LTE launch markets, it is really hard to find an LTE signal.

Yeah I'm testing from Philadelphia- I just strapped onto another 2 year contract with them for the iPhone 5 so I'm hoping for LTE here in maybe another 6 months.

Thank you for posting these. Does it do better when it has full bars? Or does it run right around .5mps?

These seem to be standard around my house about 3 miles out of center city. I'll check center city at work tomorrow.

I hear you man. We have good WiMAX here and I swapped out a Galaxy S2 for an S3 and now I get to enjoy speeds I haven't seen since the 90s on dial-up. Sprint 3G is absolutely terrible.

$35 for 3 gigs...that's what I thought I read. Considering how slow they're data is, I would've thought it'd be lower than the competition. Not more.

Well, I'm glad it's working for you & I hope they expand their LTE footprint sooner than later. Cellular competition is important to all of us, really.

I know that some areas are getting speeds of up to 1.5Mps. Which isn't bad, really.

The other tiers are all lower than the competition or provide more data. The $35's the only one higher. But yeah the current subscriber offer of $15 for 1gig seems perfect for me.

Personally I like Sprint in general. It's cheap, my calls never drop, and in 9 years they've only been weird w/customer service twice- once I was trying to get out of my contract and another time they changed my early upgrade pricing date for no reason and wouldn't budge on it. I accepted it because the rates on the others are CRAZY.
