No, this isn't a troll, and, yes, I'm serious. 😀

I'm looking for a Gopher client for Tiger. Perhaps a port of Xgopher to OS X. I have run across some mailing list posts where folks were trying to port Xgopher to Jag, but that was quite some time ago.

For some reason, Tiger is not funneling network access to Classic, so Turbo Gopher is not working (but if anyone knows how to fix that so I can use Turbo Gopher, or even Turbo Gopher VR 😎 , I'm listening!).

If you don't mind compiling stuff I would try Lynx. It's a text web browser from the old unix days. It's still maintained.

If you want something graphical, try Camino.

Firefox 2.0.0.2 support Gopher

Yes, at least you don't have to pay for Omniweb to get it. And yes, it works in Snow Leopard 😀

Thanks

Thanks guys. I needed access to Gopher for some academic resources. This helps. Plus, it's a blast to the past. Looks like a cool browser.
