Did you know that the 2011 Macbook Air i5 turbo boosts only up to 2.4 Ghz and the ram runs at 667 mhz. You woukd think the memory would be a lot faster and that the processor would turbo boost up to 2.8 Ghz.

I know exactly how Ghz works, but now that I think about it the ram would be 666*2 which is 1333 mhz, but what about the turbo boost?

The MacBook Air Mid-2011 i5 variant uses the Intel 2557m CPU. Its base frequency is 1.7 GHz and can Turbo Boost to 2.7 GHz. The frequency is increased in steps, where 1 step is 133 MHz. The processor may operate in Turbo Boost mode as long as it stays within its thermal (TDP and maximum temperature) limits. It seems as though your MacBook is perfectly fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

DDR is double rate data, so 667 (base clock speed) x2 = 1333 (actual speed) which is your ram speed as advertised.
