Can I install HDD in optical bay of 27" iMac 11.1 Late 2009
I have a 27" Late 2009 iMac (11,1) and wanted to replace the HDD with an SSD and put the HDD where the optical bay is. Will the HDD fit there? Do I need any sort of kit to install it.
I could put the SSD drive in the optical bay but with this model the SSD can only get to a 1.5 GB "negotiated Link Speed" on the SATA 2 connector located there. Rather to take full advantage of the SSD drive if possible. Thanks in advance! |

No, the HDD won't fit where the optical drive is.
Just put the SSD there and you're good.
