iPhoto photo-stream, is there a max amount of photos I can put on it?

Or does it not matter. Is photostream really free? It seems kinda unbelievable.

Seems to be a sharing service between my apple devices. I got to imagine it takes up server space though.

Oh ok, Yeah you're right. I was worried you thought it was a free back up service which is quite common.
