Does QT support DD 5.1 m4v?

I am able to get DD 5.1 running m4v with AC3 tracks pretty much everywhere: itunes, xbmc, mplayerx, vlc but not in QuickTime.

Is it the way it is supposed to work in QT or I am doing something wrong?

MP4 / M4V + AC-3 playback works in QT X just fine under ML, even without Perian installed. You don't get any sound?

Yes, I do get but no DD 5.1.
