Device to record 720p video from HDMI?
In the future I want to record video (of the screen) from my Android tablet with a Mini-HDMI port on it. Android-based screen recoding software does not work on my tablet, due to it's CPU (Tegra 3). I wanted to know if there is a relatively cheap USB/Firewire device that I can connect an HDMI port to, but make Mac OS X detect it as a camera device so I can directly record from iMovie/Skype/iChat/etc.
I know PCi Express cards and expensive 1080p Firewire recorders exist, but my needs are not that high. The resolution of the tablet is 1280x800, so recording in 720p would probably be best. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Should you not have Thunderbolt, the USB3-based version ( http://www.amazon.com/Blackmagic-Des...ref=pd_cp_pc_2 ) doesn't work with computers with most chipsets.
Unfortunately, Elgato's Game Capture HD ( http://www.elgato.com/elgato/int/mai...tureHD.en.html ; also see http://toucharcade.com/2012/06/19/ww...ind-right-now/) , which is even cheaper, can't be mounted as a camera.

EDIT: Realized I only have USB 2.0. Whoops, glad I haven't bought it yet.
