Question about change in volume

My txt notification sound volume decrease a lot after using GPS with Apple map. Changing the volume from settings won't do anything. I had to restart the phone to fix it.

Just wondering if you guys encountered this before and how to fix it? BTW, I'm on OS6.0.1

Thanks in advance.
