[All iPads] How to sync to a new computer?

I just bought a new computer and will retire my old one once everything is transfered to the new one.

I am not very familiar with iTunes. It always synced fine with my iPad 2 but I must admit I was a bit lucky as I do not understand clearly how it works.

What do I have to do so that I will be able to sync my iPad to my new PC in the future?
