I got a set of new 686s for a ridiculous price; 75 euros for the pair. I have M-Audio av40s connected to my iMac now, but for the price the 686s cost me, I might as well upgrade to them. Now I do not know how to connect these now. The M-Audios connected via RCAs, but the B&Ws need to be connected to something else, then to the iMac, correct? At my job, we have a Roister subwoofer, and the back of it looks like the Logitech sub back, meaning I can wire speakers to it, and I guess use it as an amp. Would that work? I really have no clue about what to do here. I was thinking maybe I just keep the AV-40s to my iMac, and connect the B&Ws to my LED in the living room, which is using some Logitech 2.1 system that ran me about 130 euros.

Ive been reading MR, and trying to figure out what I need. Do I need to go with a DAC and amp, or can I just go with the AMP?
