When I called the apple store, they informed me that they would be accepting iPhone 5 returns up until January 3rd, 2013.
When I posted this I didn't think so many people would get so involved and state childish things; it's just a phone, people.

If it is just a phone (and it is) then why the thread? Clearly you find returning it to be something of great significance in your life.

Ok where in the world exactly are you located because that makes no sense at all. Granted maybe you got lucky and the Apple store you called started the Christmas return policy early but what you are saying is very sketchy.

so if it's just a phone why did you have to make a thread about it?

This has been my experience too. Might have just needed to replace the phone.

It seems your iPhone is defective

I have an iPhone 5 Verizon and I have no problems with the camera, or the phone lagging, and the phone gets much better battery life than my girlfriends 4S or my previous Nexus Galaxy even with an extended battery.

If your still in that 30 day period or Apple or 14 for Verizon return

And that comment was needed because? And I have Verizon here in Delaware and I have no problem getting coverage at the locations I go to. So that comment holds value only to your experiences, sir.

That doesnt make any sense.
The iphone sold by Apple has a 30 day return policy.
If bought from a carrier or any other store besides Apple it has 14 days.
For you only it has a return policy of up to January 13, 2013

Maybe they meant after Jan 13 you can't return any iPhone. Period. Because that would make sense....

Mentioning Verizon wasn't meant to mean anything besides phone companies have a shorter return period of typically 14 days

I still own my iPhone 4 and could never ever imagine a situation where I would go back to it over the iPhone 5.

Coverage is not what I was talking about, I was talking about data speeds. It is well known that Verizons 3g is horribly slow.

Of course it's going to be slow. When there are better alternatives like HSPA+ and not saying you but to some that experienced HSPA+ and returned to Verizon's 3G speeds. You will definitely complain and say Verizon is slow. I rather have slow data speeds and more coverage than spotty coverage and faster data speeds.
