Should Spotlight be integrated into Launchpad?

i was thinking about this, because in iOS spotlight is built into the swiping iOS menu. it just makes sense to me to build spot light into Launchpad, so you can swipe to the furthest space to the left to search your entire mac. i think the main benefit having it here is that a whole screen of space can be used for search results, imagine large quick-views, with perhaps more extended abilities.

Well, I would at least want it in both places. On OS X, if you were required to go into Launchpad to use Spotlight, that would be hell.
