Are options missing on the 27 inch?

I am sure there are more, but offhand no apple remote (but there seems to be one with apple TV?) and no iLife?

Yeah, I had the same question. I was really hoping to get the remote with it ($20.00 with Mac Mini), but the option wasn't there for the iMac.

iLife comes installed on it (Garageband/iPhoto/iMovie)

Maybe the remote no longer works with the iMac. It doesn't work with current Macbook Airs...
