export iPhoto events to Disc for backup

How can I export the events to a disc to backup? iPhoto just exports all the events as single photos? I' m looking at something similar like folders?

You can't. It's the same with Albums and Folders(created in iPhoto). You'll have to create Folders in Finder, Export your photos to them, and then burn to disc.
