Mac Outlook email IMAP issue

I am finding that when I delete emails in outlook I am now having to manually delete them from my iPhone rather than it automatically happening via imap! Any ideas?

You need to make sure the option for Purge Deleted Items is selected in Outlook. Not sure where it is located on the Mac version. Probably when you edit the account settings. Look carefully.

Outlook has the worst IMAP performance of any I have used.
