My imacs due to be delivered 19th of dec, had an estimate of 21st dec-2nd jan... Apple have stuck to their word i ordered the base 2.9ghz no upgrades

Why can't apple have a proper real time tracking site... From the moment you order it, right through the queue (including where you are in the queue in relation to everyone else). Down the assembly line, what bit is actually being placed into the machine, etc, etc.... I reckon most TV companies would start going bust...

I can't sleep, because I keep refreshing my order status, with no result. Sill processing! This is unbelievable! Apple doesn't want my money. This is ridiculous! I called them today and the lady told me that there is nearly no chances that the iMac will arrive for Christmas. She also told me that it's because it has custom configuration.

Anyone with custom config having "preparing for shipment" status?

I have i7 3,4Ghz, 680mx, 32GB, 3TB and still processing, but I believe it's because I've ordered them on Dec 3rd.

Have any of those that started 'Preparing for shipment' yesterday (Thursday) morning shipped yet?

Assuming they are coming from China, if they don't ship in the next couple of hours I guess we won't see movement until after the weekend, putting delivery late into next week (when we are away for a few days).

Oh the highs and lows of Apple product launches and first world problems

Nope, it changed to "preparing" around 22h ago, nothing has happened yet. And yep, thought about that too, I really hope they get shipped today!
