I've been using an ATV (newest gen) with a 3 year old Samsung plasma TV and recently added a Bose Solo unit to the TV. Yesterday I purchased a new LED Samsung and TV and have hit a wall on how to get my Bose Solo back in use because this fancy new TV has way less input / output options and mainly.. no optical audio out, no audio out of any kind actually..

I currently have the ATV going directly to the TV via HDMI. I also have an optical cable going from the ATV to Bose Solo unit but my new TV doesn't appear to recognize that an "external speaker" is available with this setup and in turn, it doesn't give me the option to select it.

Any thoughts before I go boxing this fancy new TV back up to return it to Best Buy?
