Can I install the boxed version on my MBA without having the dvd player connected to play? (old time copy protection)
Also can I install on my two machines , imac and MBA or am I better of with the App store version for that?

Appreciate some info from anyone who bought the boxed version.

Thanks

You can install and activate the game on up to 5 Mac's.
You don't need the DVD in the drive if you decide to activate.
Once you activate the first time you do not need any internet connection to play.
DVD check is available for users who have no internet access or do not like activating online.
You should be fine.

However Empire is a high end game so playing on a MacBookAir will mean low settings.
